C:F Chapters in Ljubljana

by C:F Team on 3rd October, 2012 at 6:27 PM CEST

The idea sparked at the very first Challenge:Future Summit in 2010. It was almost too good to believe. C:F expanding through a series of networks from within universities across the world. But right after, the very first Summit participants established the first chapters which became one of the most important pillars of Challenge:Future.

The Chapters Network exists as a great way to connect and keep in touch, as well as implement future projects across the world. Over the past two years, the chapters have evolved, have organized many events and info-sessions along with the local representatives, who are the incubators for future chapters, but these guys have never really gathered together to discuss the future of … Challenge:Future Chapters! Until now.

Right now in Ljubljana we have Damla (Turkey), Jovana (Montenegro), Ivan (Russia), Denis (Slovenia), Stefan (Macedonia), Lili (Georgia), Mihaela (Romania) together with Bistra (Macedonia) and Dan (Romania) plus many more C:F fans and enthusiasts from from USA, Ghana, Serbia, Latvia and Bulgaria. Together we will set the new directions of the C:F Chapters Network.

How will everything further develop? What will be the brand new and exciting Challenge:Future activities? What will be the regional goals of the Chapters? How will they engage for a more sustainable and better future for everyone? These were just some of the crucial questions which C:F members had the chance to discuss during the “Youth for common future” Youth in Action programme, between 28th September and 5th October, 2012.

Additionally, participants reported on the issues that youth faces in their own countries and engaged in finding possible solutions for fighting youth unemployment, improving education, social inclusion or establishing a more peaceful society.

Cheers from magical Ljubljana,

C:F team

PS: I miss so much Ljubljana. I was there 3 months ago having summer school. It was the best experience ever! Just like you, I had the chance to talk with different people from different countries and there is nothing better than getting know to other cultures and others ways of thinking.
